Building an Economy that Works for Everyone

Ending Corporate Tax Breaks

Despite being home to high-profit behemoths such as Amazon, Microsoft, and Boeing, Washington falls short in funding necessary public services. The loopholes that have been written into Washington State’s tax code allow these companies to escape without contributing their share to the state, and places the burden of state funding on working-class and lower-class Washingtonians. By ending corporate tax breaks,

Washington would secure funding for quality education, affordable housing, and greater security to the state’s economically vulnerable. EOI works to close these tax loopholes by encouraging legislators to hold large corporations accountable and by producing research to highlight injustices in Washington’s tax system.
