Reminder: Social Security forum TONIGHT in Tacoma

Thanks to fear-mongering by opponents and a backhanded attempt to connect Social Security to the deficit, this question is on the minds of millions of Americans – especially young adults. But fear not! Attend this event to have all of your questions answered about the future of Social Security, regardless of your age.

On Wednesday February 20th, renowned economist and author Dean Baker will be speaking at a forum at the UW-Tacoma, addressing questions about the future of Social Security. He will talk about challenges and opportunities facing our Social Security system, and put fears to rest about its future.

Dean Baker is co-director of the Center for Economic and Policy Research in Washington, DC. He is frequently cited in economics reporting in major media outlets, and his analyses have appeared in many major publications. Dean has written several books, his latest being The End of Loser Liberalism: Making Markets Progressive. Dean previously worked as a senior economist at the Economic Policy Institute and an assistant professor at Bucknell University. He received his Ph.D in economics from the University of Michigan.
