Building an Economy that Works for Everyone

Sneak Peek: Healthy Tacoma kickoff tomorrow

Tomorrow’s Healthy Tacoma kickoff event (11 am at King’s Books) will feature panel discussion with three Tacoma-area residents. They will discuss the challenges to implementation, the need for paid sick days, business concerns, and the impact on public health.

The panelists:

Sharon Ness, a registered nurse for 39 years

Megan Sacks, a restaurant worker

Carmela, a small business owner

Carmela Micheli, a small business owner

Have kids? Bring them too!

There will be a Children’s Corner set up with toys, games and activities, and ‘Story time’ with Nathe will give you some free time to learn more about paid sick days, register your support, and enjoy coffee and a snack.

Hope to see you there!
