Tax and Budget

From roads and utilities to schools, parks, and firefighters, everyone benefits from public investments that yield well-educated citizens, profitable businesses, safe communities and a healthy environment. But our state’s tax structure, last updated in the 1930s, is not able to meet the needs of our 21st century economy. EOI is working to reform Washington’s tax structure to support investments in early learning, K-12, higher education and other critical public services while making our tax system more equitable for everyone.
